specializes in pediatric nursing, rehabilitative nursing, wound care, adult medical surgical nursing or behavioral
health nursing.

The primary care nurse admits the patient to service, performs
comprehensive assessments, establishes the patient care plan, and coordinates services with the individual,
family and other disciplines involved in the care plan.

Skilled nursing functions include educating and communicating
the patient and family about condition and disease processes, developing the home health aide care plan
and supervision of the home health aide.
